The Program
Portage Public Schools offer free English as a Second Language classes for adults beginning in September. Students may enroll at any time. There are three teachers and three levels of instruction for classes that meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.  There are two levels of instruction for class that meet on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.  Classes meet at the Portage Administration Building, second floor, 8111 S. ESL Mission
The English as a Second Language Program of the Portage Public Schools will teach American English and culture to promote workplace readiness and citizenship in order to enhance the quality of life for adults from all nations.
